Can I publish with a free Wibigo address?
Yes. You don't need to own a domain to publish your site — every site can be published instantly with a free Wibigo address (like wibigo.com/yourname).
How does the free address work?
When you publish, you choose the address your customers will use. If you don't have your own domain, you can use the free Wibigo address: it goes live instantly, a security certificate (SSL) is set up automatically, and no extra configuration needed. Even after you connect your own domain, you can always switch back to your free wibigo.com address from Settings in the Domains section.
What are the limits of the free address?
- The address includes wibigo alongside your business name — it's not a fully branded address.
- Long addresses aren't as memorable on business cards, signs, or ads.
- It doesn't signal brand trust quite as strongly on Google searches as your own domain would.
But your site's content, pages, and features are exactly the same; the free address doesn't limit your site.
When should I upgrade to my own domain?
A free address is great for testing, sharing a portfolio, or launching quickly. It's the right time to upgrade if any of these apply:
- You'll be putting the address on business cards, signs, or ads.
- You want to be found by your business name on Google.
- You want to give customers a more professional look.
You can either buy a new domain or connect an existing one — your site and content stay exactly as they are.
Type "how do I upgrade to my own domain" to Wictor in the panel and it'll take you straight to the relevant setting.
