Read and reply to incoming messages

All messages from your site's contact form and connected channels (Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp) come together in one place: your Inbox.

Steps

  1. In the control panel, go to Messages. The Inbox view opens.
  2. Use the tabs at the top to filter messages: All, Unread, Messenger, Form. Each message shows which channel it came from (Form, Instagram, WhatsApp, Email).
  3. Click a message to open the conversation. Type your reply in the "Type your reply…" box at the bottom and click Send (Cmd/Ctrl+Enter shortcut also works).
  4. Your reply is sent via the channel the message came from: form messages get email replies, Instagram messages get DM replies, WhatsApp messages are sent over WhatsApp.
  5. Select multiple messages and use Mark as read or Delete for bulk actions.
note

Messenger has a 24-hour reply window: if 24 hours have passed since your customer's last message, you can't reply until they send a new one.

tip

New people who write from your form are automatically added to Contacts as potential leads — you don't need to save them separately.
